Explore the gardens & grounds

Beautiful gardens.
Room to explore.

Your session includes access to all outdoor areas around the property. Wander through the gardens, follow the nature trail, stop by the swing, and enjoy the historic porches of the Manor. There's a different backdrop around every corner.

Flowering borders, leafy paths, and open lawns give you room to find the light and make the session your own. The gardens change with the seasons; we're happy to share recent photos as you plan.

Both packages include the outdoor grounds and historic porches, plus a designated restroom. Interior rooms aren't included. Other guests may be enjoying the property during your session.

Before you arrive

A little planning.
A lovely session.

Please inquire at least seven days ahead; availability works around weddings and overnight guests.

  1. Tell us what you have in mind.

Share your preferred dates, package, group size, photographer, and the kind of photographs you're planning. Mention any pets, props, or special requests.

  2. We'll work out the details.

We'll confirm availability, arrival details, and insurance requirements before collecting payment. Full payment and acceptance of the session rules secure your reservation.

  3. Come ready to create.

We'll send arrival and parking instructions. Your photographer leads the session, and all setup and cleanup take place within your booked time.

Good to know

The finer details.

A few answers to help you and your photographer plan your visit.

What happens if it rains?

If rain, unsafe weather, or unusable grounds affect your outdoor session, we'll offer a no-fee transfer to an available date within 90 days. If we can't find a mutually suitable date, we'll refund the venue fee.

We'll normally make the weather decision with your photographer by the prior afternoon and reassess if conditions change. If the Manor cancels your session, you can choose a full refund or a transfer.

Can I change or cancel my session?

Garden Portrait Sessions may be refunded or transferred once with at least 72 hours' notice. Mini-session blocks require at least seven days' notice for a refund or one transfer.

With less notice, payments are nonrefundable except under the weather policy. No-shows forfeit payment, and late arrivals don't extend the end time. Low enrollment for mini sessions follows the same cancellation policy.

What should photographers know about insurance?

We'll confirm the insurance requirements and required documents for your session before payment. An existing annual photographer liability policy may be accepted if it meets those requirements; a new one-day policy is not automatically necessary.

Please tell us when you inquire if your photographer is uninsured or you're planning a self-shot session, so we can confirm whether an acceptable arrangement is available.

Can we bring pets, props, or a backdrop?

Small handheld props and normal portable photography equipment are welcome. Pets, furniture, backdrops, and installations require advance approval. Custom landscaping, furniture moves, and ceremony setups aren't included.

No confetti, glitter, smoke, open flames, drones, or champagne spraying. Children must be supervised. Please remove all belongings and rubbish before your session ends.

How do mini-session appointments work?

The photographer manages advertising, client bookings, payments, and arrivals. Up to eight client groups may visit consecutively; only one group shoots at a time. Stagger arrivals and use the designated waiting area.

Please keep guest access clear. A Garden Portrait Session covers one group and cannot be used for rotating client appointments.

Are there any additional fees?

There is no routine cleaning fee or damage deposit. Extra time requires advance approval and is charged at $50 per 30 minutes for portraits or $125 per hour for mini-session blocks.

Only documented damage or unusual cleanup is charged as described in the booking agreement.

What about larger groups or commercial shoots?

Simple headshots fit the portrait offering. Larger groups, advertising productions, multiple vendors, and substantial sets require a custom quote. These packages don't cover ceremonies, parties, workshops, or public walk-ins.
