From Friday at noon until Sunday morning, our doors are closed to the public and open only to you. No tours. No conflicting events. Just time to enjoy it all.

    Arrive & make it yours.

    Decorate, rehearse, and settle into your celebration at your own pace.

  2. Friday night / Optional add-on

    Stay with your closest friends.

    Add the prior night in the Bridal Cottage—our private Carriage House—for $300. With room for six, you can settle in together before the big day.

  3. Your wedding day

    Get ready at the venue.

    Begin the day surrounded by your favorite people, with the gardens and celebration waiting outside.

  4. Your wedding night

    Stay as newlyweds.

    Spend your wedding night in the Bridal Cottage, then enjoy a relaxed morning before your 11 a.m. checkout.

Our French Country Carriage House is your private Bridal Cottage for getting ready and your included wedding-night stay. Three bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, give your bridal party space to get ready together with comfort and privacy.

Step through the intimate foyer into an expansive living room with a wood-burning fireplace—a warm setting for breakfast, hair and makeup, and those last few moments before the ceremony. An old-world staircase leads upstairs to two additional queen bedrooms.

Three arched carriage doors open out to the venue, bringing the outdoors in and creating a romantic backdrop for photographs and entrances.

Downstairs in the Manor’s original 1860s Cellars, antique-furnished lounges offer a moody, speakeasy atmosphere for the groom and his closest friends.

Unwind around a vintage billiards table or share a toast at the custom Prohibition-style copper bar. There’s room to relax and suit up in complete privacy.

These Cellars once housed the Manor’s fine-dining restaurant, formerly ranked the #1 restaurant in Virginia. Today, they offer a private retreat for your wedding morning and a gathering space for guests later in the day.

Explore the gardens, brick pathways, and our nature trail down to the Lynnhaven Inlet. We’ll help you find the ceremony location that feels right for you.

Gather your guests for a sparkling farewell or a flurry of bubbles. Events end by 9 p.m., with an hour afterward for cleanup.

Your wedding night in the Bridal Cottage, which sleeps six. Enjoy an 11 a.m. checkout on Sunday.

A $1,000 non-refundable deposit secures your date. The remaining balance is due 60 days before your wedding.

Celebrating with more than 50?

Weddings with more than 50 guests require a rented outdoor tent. Some weddings of 50 or fewer can dine in the Cellars, depending on the dining layout. We’ll talk through your options on a tour and connect you with tent-rental partners if needed.

An outdoor celebration, thoughtfully prepared

Planning for Rain

Church Point Manor is a mostly outdoor venue. We provide clear umbrellas for your guests, placing them under ceremony chairs or handing them out at the first hint of rain and whenever they’re needed.

A rented outdoor tent is required for weddings with more than 50 guests. For smaller weddings, dinner in the Cellars may be possible if the seating layout allows. We’ll discuss the best plan for yours on a tour.

08 / Plan with confidence

Planning Details

Our wedding policies and vendor requirements,
all in one place.

Alcohol & insurance

We require a single-day event liability policy (typically $150–$200) and, if you plan to serve alcohol, a Virginia ABC banquet license (approximately $55). Each is easy to acquire, and our Welcome Packet will walk you through it after booking.

The evening’s end

All events must end by 9 p.m. to allow an hour for cleanup. For those ready to keep celebrating, Shore Drive offers nightlife and after-party options just 5–10 minutes away.

Music & reception locations

We can accommodate DJs and orchestra music, but not full-scale party bands (such as drums, electric guitar, etc.). Reception parties with amplified music must set up on the tennis court or in the Cellars.

Professional day-of coordination

A professional day-of coordinator is required to keep your wedding running smoothly and let your family enjoy the day alongside you.

Church Point Manor is an 1860s estate, elegantly restored and converted into a wedding venue and retreat in the late 20th century. Its English and French-style gardens and lawns surround intimate, enchanting spaces for gathering.

Proudly listed on the Virginia Beach Historical Register, the Manor has long been a hideaway for locals and public figures alike, including President Barack Obama, Caroline Kennedy, and Jessica Alba.
